Kodak film favorites

Kodak film Favorites
Portra 800
The versatility of this film stock is my favorite part. I love shooting in low light and really appreciate the 800 film speed. I also love the colors. Portra 400 is popular and I shoot that as well but I prefer the colors of 800 alot more. It's perfect in almost all situations. It's pricy so watch out $$$$
Tri-X 400
I'm a stickler for timeless things and the look of Tri-X is timeless x 100. The grain texture is very attractive and real looking. Photographing family events on this is a must. It captures the emotion of my family at their best.
Ektar 100
Wow is the best word I can use for Ektar. The colors are bright and wonderful. It almost looks digital but still has the film look. If it's sunny outside this is the film I use. Also does well in lowlight with my VR lens. It's pricy but worth it!
Price, availability and need aside these are my go to film stocks.

Up at the Plaza Coral Gables
Inside the construction area of the Plaza Coral Gables is a small house where the owner didn't sellout. Reminded me of the Pixar movie UP.

I was in my backyard and noticed these tiny flowers. I used a macro lens to get close and whats amazing is the beauty. These flowers are 1/2 of an inch tiny.

Film Negative that looks positive

Posted 2022-05-01 12:13:16 | Views: 3,076
Turning a film negative into a film positive by creating a new film negative.
Neg Pro
I have this Nikon lens adapter for film negatives. Its made to quickly digitize film negatives with a digital camera. The idea is you take a digital photo of a film negative then invert it on your computer. It’s faster and smaller then a scanner. With the added benefit of future upgrades to your digital camera. DSLR scanning as some call it.

SO just for fun I wondered what if I attached this to my F6 film camera and photographed a negative to create a new negative that looks like a positive.
Instructions on how the adapter works, but instead of a digital camera I used a film camera.
Original negative
New negative of original negative taken using digital adapter but with a film camera.
Inverted turns the original negative into a positive, as usual.
New negative made with the adapter turns the positive looking negative into a negative looking positive.
Film negative but positive
Film negative inverted positive but negative
Its a real unique thing to look at a film negative and see a positive image, and not used a computer to do it.
Film is fun!
This is a negative?
